VIEW FROM OUR FACTORY AT ST MICHAELS PARK, OBSERVATORY, CAPE TOWN
Handcrafted outdoor products of incredible quality.
We make our products at our factory in Cape Town – a city that for centuries has functioned as both trading post and gateway to the African continent. Its people are dexterous and resilient, with a multi-generational instinct for craft, elegance and ingenuity.
Remote safari camps have always needed outdoor products that are elegantly simple, technically excellent, sustainably durable and conveniently portable.
Our safari heritage underlies our product development. It is our DNA. It is the very reason why we are good at what we do.

There was a time when they did outdoor adventure with style.

We use modern materials to make products like they did generations ago – with care, craftsmanship, and bold creativity.

We want to revive the belief system that our grandparents and the generations before them had, which is to buy something of quality and longevity and then repair and care for that item.
This return-to-quality is, we believe, the foundation of sustainable design. And it's why all parts of our products are repairable and replaceable. Because you make something differently when you know it has to last forever.
We put people before productivity. We hold each other to high standards, but above all else, we are kind.
We are a diverse people. We have a history that still hurts. A history that we are still trying to mend.
We make our products with the same set of values that we sell them with. Our brand values are our internal values. We work reasonable hours and pay fair wages. We eat lunch together. We share our stories. We put people before productivity.
Above all else we operate our business with kindness.
Scott Hindmarch, Philip Lambrecht, and Michael Minkley, you believed when it wasn't easy to do so.
